CUSTOMER INFORMATION - JONS SHEDS LTD
The following information is highly important please read carefully when purchasing your garden shed.
BASE REQUIREMENTS
The garden building must be assembled on a pre-prepared firm & hard level base. We offer a full installation service with our Heavy Duty Timber Base or if you are wanting to do it yourself with e.g Concrete Base or flags, then this should be GROUND LEVEL only.
Should a revisit be required due to an unsuitable base a surcharge of £50-£200 will be applied depending on size of the building, and required prior to re-delivery.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our delivery team needs adequate clearance to the pre-prepared base and also adequate working space around the building. When ordering a building 8ft or larger it is imperative to ensure you have 8ft height clearance, and it is important that we have clear, unrestricted access from the road.
Please note: WE CANNOT ASSEMBLE OVER FENCES, WALLS, GARAGES AND OTHER SIMILAR OBSTACLES WITHOUT PRIOR CONSENT.

TIME OF DELIVERY
WE ARE UNABLE TO SPECIFY AN EXACT TIME OF DELIVERY. Although we do advise that arrangements are made for means of access. Our team will need to receive payment should a balance be left outstanding on the day of delivery.
AFTERCARE
All our buildings & timber is fully Tanalised (pressure treated) against anti-fungi and anti-rot. We also advise that the building is treated with a suitable water repellent coating e.g
Protek Stable Coat / Protek Royal Exterior
"UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY WATER BASED SHED & FENCE / FENCE LIFE PAINT BE USED"
VERANDA'S
On all our buildings with a veranda, we advise customers where possible to seal the front panel (which sits on the veranda floor) to avoid any water running between the grooves and into the building.
MACHINED WINDOWS & DOORS
(SUMMER HOUSES / PLAYHOUSES)
Most buildings with extra machined windows & doors are NOT fully beaded and WE DO NOT SEAL WINDOWS, they are left tacked for self finish. All machined windows and doors need to be treated with a suitable water repellent coating e.g Protek Stable Coat / Protek Royal Exterior as these items are purchased from a different company and they use non-Tanalised timber. Please ensure you do treat the windows and doors as soon as your building has been installed to ensure the life of the product.
TIMBER
Whilst every care is taken in purchasing the correct grade of timber for the shed construction, wood is a NATURAL PRODUCT, which may contain Knot Holes and cracks and does SHRINK & EXPAND according to weather/temperature/climate conditions. This is beyond our control whilst we do everything to select the best and deliver a quality product.
